The Elysian Dream Collection

"Elysium, also known as the Elysian Fields, is the final resting place of the souls of heroes and virtuous individuals in Greek mythology. This paradise is depicted as a land of perfect happiness, located at the edge of the Earth, where the favored of the gods could enjoy a blissful afterlife. The concept of Elysium reflects the ancient Greeks' beliefs about reward in the afterlife and the continuation of heroic existence beyond mortal life".

 Named for the Elysian Fields, this collection brings together the ancient, or the past living, into the present, the contemporary. Each piece combines cast bronze or sterling cameos with my hand fabricated hollow constructions. 

The cameos depict unknown characters from a seemingly idyllic past. And each cameo resonates differently and personally as perhaps a memory of a special person in one's life, or a quality one identifies with, or as a feeling ,a passion..... I'm calling this series the Elysian Dream Collection.
